The New iPod Shuffle – Tech News

12_0834Apple Introduced the new iPod Shuffle yesterday.  This tiny player is about half the size of the last generation measuring 1.8 in .7 in x .3 in, and has capacity up to 4GB.  Available in black or silver for $79.99 the new shuffle may be worth the investment if you can keep track of it. I am sure Apple will be getting many of rebuys from misplaced players.  The new shuffle will also feature VoiceOver which, with the touch of a button will name the song and artist currently playing in a somewhat robotic voice.  VoiceOver is available in 14 languages from Chinese to Turkish.  With the small size of the new shuffle you may ask yourself “where do they have room for a new button?”  Well all the controls are now located on the headphones themselves save for the power button.  This sounds like a great idea unless you like to use third party headphones.  Apple says an adapter will be available for use with other headphones but no price on that yet.  The new shuffle plays the normal apple formats MP3 AAC Apple Lossless WAV & AIFF.  For all the tech specs http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/specs.html
