Matias is.. well, a bad Beck impersonator really. Vocals are not all that great and the fact that the lyrics aren’t good do not help the cause much. Musically it sounds ok – if not a bit jumbled up and feeling out of place. I wish my machine stayed asleep as the song “Wake Your Machine” gave me a splitting headache. “Your Machine Too” gave the same affect.
I thought I would get a reprieve from some horrible sounding stuff when the beginning of “See Me Some” began but then the lyrics started and I ran for more aspirin.
Some people should leave music alone – Matias is such an artist. There is a market for everything though. The EMO population would love this mainly because they could cry and cut themselves superficially about spending the money on it.
Knowing that EMO wannabe’s and EuroTrash would absolutely love this album I can only see fit to give 5 out of 10. 50% of it is actual music and that’s good stuff. The rest are vocals – so a 50/50 score is befitting.
