No Sinner Set To Release ‘Boo Hoo Hoo’ EP On First Love Records

No Sinner’s sound bears a trustworthiness of timbre and melody that’s easy to fall in love with. With the recent release of their debut 7” single “Boo Hoo Hoo” / “Love is Madness,” No Sinner quickly garnered much advance attention breaking over 20,000 YouTube hits for the video “Boo Hoo Hoo”, and flooring both media and fans with their raw and captivating live shows. On April 24th, No Sinner will be releasing their debut 7 track EP on First Love Records.

No Sinner’s music is indeed a familiar mix of blues, rock and soul; but 24 year old lead singer/songwriter Colleen Rennison’s persona is something truly unique to this moment in time. True, she carries with her the burden of someone who has lived, loved and lost—requisite experience for the genres she works in—but Colleen also embodies a kind of mixed-language of millennial Vancouver: a combination of rugged Canadiana and sultry vernacular.

The band came together as a “musician Russian roulette,” crossing paths at local jam nights in Vancouver’s Gastown.  Colleen met co-writer Parker Bossley (Hot Hot Heat) through now drummer Ian Brown. They then met up with Matt Camirand (Black Mountain), and the final member came along when Colleen saw guitarist Eric Campbell perform, and was so blown away she called every Campbell in the North Van Yellow Pages to track him down. Within months, No Sinner were a formal band and the momentum was already kicking into full gear.

Stay tuned for updates on the band’s summer touring schedule in Canada. This is one show you don’t want to miss.
