Tropical Depression Seven has formed in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean and is expected to become a tropical storm later today, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Currently, the system is located about 430 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands. Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph.

The depression is moving toward the west near 17 mph and this general motion is expected to continue during the next day or two.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts.Estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb.
