Singer Faith Evans arrested for Drunk Driving

Faith Evans had a few too many drinks this weekend. The singer and widow of rapper Notorious B.I.G. was arrested in LA on Saturday night on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to the LAPD, the 37 year-old Evans was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in Marina del Ray Saturday night when officers detected alcohol. She was then arrested and charged on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Evans, who won a Grammy for her tribute to slain husband, rapper Christopher “Notorious B.I.G” Wallace, with “I’ll Be Missing You” in 1997, was released on bail Sunday morning after spending a few hours behind bars.

The incident is not Evans’ first trouble with the law. In 2004 she was arrested along with her second husband, Todd Russaw, after being found with cocaine and marijuana.

The singer’s recent trouble comes just before Evans’ new album is due to be released in October, as well as production of a reality show that is supposed to chronicle her everyday life.
