Soul/jazz vocalist Ioana Vintu and her band Soulshine perform their distinctive blend of R&B, jazz, and blues. Ioana Vintu was born into a musical family and began singing as a child in her native Romania . Upon moving to the United States , Ioana did her musical apprenticeship singing the blues in Rochester, NY. After arriving in New York City, Ioana connected with guitarist Phil Reeves. Together they formed Soulshine with seasoned musicians blending diverse backgrounds in soul, jazz, rock, funk, and blues. Vocalist Ioana and guitarist Phil are joined by Chuck Batton on drums, Billy Asai on bass, and Alex Clough on keyboards. The result is an exciting yet subtle musical groove highlighting the passionate and dynamic singing of Ioana.
