LeBron James is now officially on Twitter. The Cavalier superstar who’s in the midst of his free agency has signed up for the social networking site Twitter.

LeBron James joins other NBA ballers on Twitter such as Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and Chris Paul. James’ Twitter account went live on Tuesday morning and currently has over 63,000 followers.

According to Cleveland.com LeBron signed up for Twitter at the persistence of his buddy Chris Paul who is an avid tweeter. Although LeBron has not made his first tweet yet he may wait until after he makes his crucial decision about where he will play next season.

ESPN reports that LeBron James may be staying in Cleveland if he can convince fellow tweeter Chris Bosh to play at Quicken Loans Arena. According to ESPN Bosh wants to play with LeBron James but is not sure about coming to Cleveland.

Bosh’s former team the Toronto Raptors are said to be interested in a sign and trade deal with the Cavaliers. LeBron may be trying to persuade Bosh to come to his hometown to play.

So now that LeBron James in officially on Twitter fans can follow the King of Akron/Cleveland @KingJames to tweet him about staying in their favorite city. Although LeBron’s Twitter account is not yet verified it has been confirmed that @kingjames is LeBron James himself. “I could not be more excited about having LeBron on Twitter,” said one Clevelander. “I can’t wait to read the King’s tweets.”
