Singer M.I.A. published on her Twitter the phone number of a New York Times Writer’s after taking offence at an article

Journalist Lynn Hirschberg is famous for inciting the ire of another tempestuous pop star: Courtney Love. Hirschberg reported that Love had used heroin while pregnant with daughter Frances Bean.

Following the publication of an article in this week’s New York Times Magazine, the singer M.I.A. published the Lynn Hirschberg’s phone number on her Twitter.

MIA tweeted the number followed by:
“CALL ME IF YOU WANNA TALK TO ME ABOUT THE N Y T TRUTH ISSUE, ill b taking calls all day bitches ;)”

However, the phone number goes directly to Hirshberg office number.

MIA later wrote that she will publish her own version of the article on her Neet Recordings homepage this weekend, tweeting:

“NEWS IS AN OPINION! UNEDITED VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW WILL BE ON neetrecordings THIS MEMORIAL WEEKEND!!! >>>>”

The article in question features Hirschberg and MIA speaking about her links to Sri Lanka, her visa problems in the US and her family.
