CEA Line Shows Deliver the Big Picture on 3D in the Home

3D@Home Summit Added to Industry Innovations Lineup in New York City June 22-23, 2010

Arlington, VA, — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced the addition of the 3D@Home Summit, showcasing the latest content developments in the rollout of 3DTV, to the program lineup at the CEA Line Shows. CEA Line Shows is the CE industry’s annual mid-year conference and new technology showcase, scheduled for June 22-23, 2010 at 7 West 34th Street in New York City.

“The CEA Line Shows is once again the must-attend summer event for technology enthusiasts,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president of events and conferences, CEA. “We are thrilled to welcome the 3D@Home Consortium, which will ensure that attendees see the latest product innovations and learn about the newest business opportunities in 3DTV.”

The 3D@Home Consortium, which represents over 35 3D technology developers, has joined CEA Line Shows this year to dig deep into the 3D phenomenon and provide a platform to discuss new products and 3D content that will be hitting the market this summer. The 3D@Home Summit at CEA Line Shows will provide the big 3D picture by unveiling new technologies and techniques that will ensure satisfied creators, distributors, broadcasters and most importantly – consumers.

“The 3D@Home Summit will reveal how the entire 3D eco-system – from content creators and broadcasters to hardware providers – is enabling the 3D launch and why we believe that 3D will become an integral part of the home entertainment experience,” says Heidi Hoffman, Managing Director of the 3D@Home Consortium.

The 3D@Home Summit is just one of many news-breaking sessions that will fill the two-day CEA Line Shows and Digital Downtown Conference, which is being chaired by Natali Del Conte, CBS/CNET Technology Correspondent. The event brings together the industry’s top media, trade, analysts and key technology thought leaders for new product exhibitions, conference panels and presentations focused on CE innovations, opportunities and market trends.
