Hunger – It’s All in Your Head! 5 Everyday Triggers That Cause You to Overeat

HOW TO BREAK YOUR EAT-REPENT-REPEAT CYCLE. Eat Mindfully, Live Vibrantly.

Renowned speaker, doctor, and author combines personal experience with professional wisdom to help individuals conquer ineffective dieting. As a family physician, motivational wellness speaker, author, workshop facilitator, and consultant, Michelle May, M.D. has all the credentials one would expect from someone advising individuals about changing their lifestyle. But there is another more qualitative element that sets her apart from the rest—the fact that she is a recovered yo-yo dieter herself.

May overcame her own struggle with chronic dieting and a love-hate relationship with food by developing a fearless, mindful approach to eating, eventually leading to a passion for inspiring audiences to find lasting health. May founded the proven Am I Hungry? Workshops, a mindful eating program that helps individuals find a balance between eating for enjoyment and eating for nourishment.

With her new book Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat: How to Break Your Eat-Repent-Repeat Cycle, Michelle May will reveal an alternative approach to the food-focused, diet-driven downward spiral caused by deprivation and sacrifice.

With passion, energy, and humor, May will share with your audience:

•    Reflections of her personal struggle with the eat-repent-repeat cycle—not just how she conquered it but how she is able to eat what she loves, and love what she eats

•    How to rediscover when, what, and how much to eat without restrictive rules

•    Specific ways to resolve mindless and emotional eating

•    Why reconnecting with internal cues of hunger and fullness enhances one’s ability to manage their weight instinctively and effortlessly

•    Keys to building a fitness program that is based on small, positive steps–not as punishment for eating
