D-Lo Releases Bonus Remix Of “No Hoe” Featuring Three Of The Bay Area’s Finest
The Song:
D-Lo’s hit single “No Hoe” is back with version 2.0, this time bringing along a few familiar faces. The Tonite Show with D-Lo closes with an unlisted bonus remix of this track featuring E-40, along with Beeda Weeda and The Jacka. The stage is once again set by the sparse, deep bass drum punches and handclaps that opened the original, but this time opens with the instantly recognizable, trademark drawl of none other than Ambassador of the Bay, E-40. Kicking things off, E-40 raps, “I’m loco. Not loco, but loco. I’m crazy. I’m far out, like D-Lo,” setting D-Lo up for a brand new verse of his own. Though this track is reworked with each of the three featured artists contributing new lyrics, the Bay Area quartet works together to ensure that the song still retains the same raucous, dynamic vibe that brought the original to fame.

The Background:
Two years ago, brothers D-Lo and Sleepy D were making music in the basement of their mother’s Modesto, CA home. After much time spent honing their craft towards the Bay Area scene they were surrounded by, D-Lo completed “No Hoe,” a to-be mega-hit. With MySpace as his main form of distribution, D-Lo got the word out on his hyphy concoction. After being picked up by a small independent label called PTB (Pushing the Beat), D-Lo finally got “No Hoe” released as a single. Two weeks later, he was imprisoned. But not having D-Lo on the streets didn’t slow the spread of his single, as “No Hoe” took Bay Area radio by storm. The track blew up and is arguably the new anthem of the Bay Area scene. D-Lo’s “No Hoe” has since been released on a Clear Label Records compilation produced by DJ Fresh and The Whole Shabang entitled The Tonite Show with D-Lo.
