The girlfriend of Hollywood scion Cameron Douglas used an electric toothbrush to smuggle heroin to the upper East Side pad where he’s under house arrest, authorities said Tuesday. Kelly Sott, 31, was arrested Monday after a private security guard got suspicious about the special delivery. “It’s sad and pathetic,” a law enforcement source said. “She thought she was helping him.”
A guard watching Douglas overheard the wanna-be actor and deejay telling someone on the phone to bring him a toothbrush, court records said. Douglas had gotten a toothbrush a few days earlier.
When Sott showed up with the new toothbrush Monday, the guard seized it and found 19 bags of heroin in the battery compartment, court records say.
Drug Enforcement Administration agents arrested Sott at the hip Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District, where they found heroin, crystal meth and marijuana in her room. She was held without bail after her arrest, and a federal magistrate ordered immediate treatment for heroin addiction and hypertension.
“She was strung out and desperate, as was he,” the law enforcement source said. Her lawyer refused to comment.
Douglas, 30, son of Oscar winner Michael Douglas, is under house arrest at mom Diandra’s $9.25 million townhouse after being busted last month for allegedly selling $15,000 worth of crystal meth.
