New York Songwriters Circle. Accepting Submissions for 2009 Songwriting Contest

Over $20,000 in Cash and Prizes, Performance opportunities with Grammy award winner John Oates and an appearance on Jonathan Clarke’s Q104.3 radio show

New York – June 30, 2008 – The New York Songwriters Circle is now accepting submission for their forth annual Songwriting Contest (http://www.songwriters-circle.com). The contest is an outstanding opportunity for songwriters to have their original music heard by an esteemed panel of music and entertainment industry professionals, including Grammy Award winning producer Russ Titelman, Legendary rock royalty John Oates, Q104.3 Radio’s Jonathan Clarke, Hit Songwriter Allan Merrill and many more.

Norah Jones, Jesse Harris, Lisa Loeb, Vanessa Carlton, Gavin DeGraw, Kate Voegele, Company of Thieves, Chris Barron and Mieka Pauley are just a few of the performers the NYSC has helped launch to stardom.

Awards for the fourth annual contest include over $20,000 in cash and prizes, an opportunity to record with Grammy Award Winning Producer Glenn Barrett, a performance spot with Grammy winner John Oates at the prestigious Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, CO, A top of the line Gibson acoustic guitar and a guest spot on Jonathan Clarke’s Q104.3 radio show (New York and America’s favorite Rock station).
