The reality star of The Hills Audrina Patridge is playing a new character (not for the media but real life) this time as an Angel for PETA. The L.A.’s Beverly Boulevard will show a billboard of Patridge looking as a sexy angel but given a message to the public who likes dogs “Be an Angel for Animals-Always Adopt, Never Buy.”
In a statement released by PETA Audrina said “Each year, 6-8 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes.” “The solution to this problem is as easy as ABC – animal birth control. Always spay and neuter, and never buy from a pet store or a breeder.”
During a photo shoot Audrina said “I wanted to get involved with PETA because I’ve always been passionate about animals, and I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home. And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog.”
