Ryan Tedder & Kelly Clarkson Team Up on ‘All I Ever Wanted’ The Album Debuts at # 1 on Billboard 200 Chart

Tedder wrote and produced almost half of Kelly Clarkson’s album, “All I Ever Wanted.” The album debuts this week at # 1 on the Billboard 200 top albums chart.

His platinum touch as a songwriter and producer has also resulted in two # 1 albums in the last 5 months including Beyonce’s latest release containing Tedder’s smash hit “Halo.” Leading the band, OneRepublic, Tedder was nominated for Best Pop Rock vocal Performance by a duo of group for the world-wide anthem, “Apologize.”

The Los Angeles Times singles out Ryan’s songs on the album and says, “each track is…memorable.” The New York Post heralds that there are “hit singles hiding in every track…this CD effortlessly bakes up into a beautiful cupcake of Clarkson delight.” Joe Levy of Blender Magazine notes, “artistic impulse and the commercial impulse…Kelly’s new album has that in spades.” Entertainment Weekly says, “soaring, impeccably constructed power ballads (‘Already Gone,’ ‘Save You’) both written by Tedder.

The five songs penned by Ryan Tedder showcases Kelly Clarkson’s diversity and extraordinary vocal range.

“Already Gone,” is a mid-tempo Led Zeppelin inspired track which Billboard Magazine sums up as, “kick-driven, which she delivers with a ghostliness reminiscent of Sinead O’Connor.” Paul McCartney’s guitar player Brian Ray guests on the track.

“Impossible,” is has an Urban, Hip Hop beat that mixes live drums with Kelly Clarkson’s power vocals. She goes for the almost the impossible, hitting some of the high notes of her career.

“Save You,” is a Brit-flavored marching-drum-beat track, which contains one of Ryan Tedder’s most interesting bridges that he has ever produced.

“If I Can’t Have You,” was inspired while Tedder was on tour in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Up-tempo and in your face, the song features the guitar player Alain Johannes from Queens Of Stone Age.

“Tip of the Tongue,” delivers the sexiest Urban Hip Hop track on the DELUXE album.

Tedder is back in the studio working with recording artist Leona Lewis. The pair created the Grammy Nominated Record of the Year mega-hit “Bleeding Love” together. Ryan Tedder wrote and produced the massive #1 song that was the most downloaded song of 2008. “Bleeding Love” shattered worldwide records when it was crowned the Most Played Song at Top-40 Radio in a one-week period ever in history.
