Beauty from a Different Perspective: An Introduction to Bronx Fashion Week 2016

Janine Santos, a 22-year-old aspiring model from the South Bronx, found her chance to make a statement in Bronx Fashion Week last year. This year, she walked on the runway, crutches and all, in the Butterfly Effect show held at Bronx Museum of the Arts. With a strong and tight-knit team of support behind her, she hopes to pave the way for other young girls and women with disabilities who want to be seen by the world as more than their disabilities.
