Organizations like Ayotzinapa NY, the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and the NYS Youth Leadership Council sponsored a protest against GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and Saturday Night Live outside of NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center.

Marni Halasa and Eliott Crown, street performers from Occupy Wall St. bring some entertainment to the cause of dismissing Trump from Saturday Night Live last night outside NBC 30 Rock last night. Back in the Kitchen refers to Anthony Bourdain’s, No Reservations, support for immigrant workers in the restaurant industry. He said, No white person has ever come in to ask to be a dish washer”.

Back on May1, 1989, after the Central Park jogger attack 5 black, male youth were arrested for the attack the media called “wilding”, Donald Trump took out a full page ad in 4 separate NY newspapers calling for the death penalty for the 5 youths. Trump said he wanted the ”criminals of every age” who were accused of beating and raping a jogger in Central Park ”to be afraid.” Thirteen years later, when new evidence proved that the five teenagers convicted in the attack had nothing to do with it, where was Donald Trump’s full page apology? ”Trump is a chump!” protesters shouted during a recent demonstration, accusing Mr. Trump of, at least, further inflaming passions and perhaps tainting the defendants’ future jurors. Some called him a racist. Supporters of the Central Park defendants have demanded an apology.

Some of the chants called out last night were “racism is not a joke”, and “what do we want? Justice, When do we want it? Now”

Many demonstrators were non English speaking but, the messages were clear, All people deserve respect.

“People Power, People Power”, “Dump Trump” and “How do you spell Racist? SNL”, were the chosen chants by those rallying for the ANSWER Coalition last night outside 30 Rock, NBC Some chants were also in Spanish yelling, “No Pas” for, “No Peace”

“Danny” says “For a long time, It’s a national shame for NYr’s that Donald Trump ?? uses racism and bigotry to fuel his own fame. I’ve hated him since he scapegoated the Central Park Five. I think he’s the worst of humanity. SNL having him on to get ratings I think is Pathetic”.

J. B Gonzalez giving kiss to his home made Pinata of Trump says, “I’m Mexican and I got insulted by Donal Trump when he called me a criminal, a drug dealer, a rapist, I’m not these things, I’m a cook, I love cooking. I’ve been cooking for the last 30 years. I’m a hard working guy”. Referring to Trump, Mr. Gonzales said, “He needs to come back to the Mexican community and say, I’m Sorry. Everybody wants to beat the crap out of Trump in Mexico”

This Native American woman told me, “523 years ago people came from Europe and killed Native Americans from Alaska to Patagonia. The heart of the continent is “Meshicho” unsure of spelling. “The real crimes came from Europe. They kill us, they rape us, the stole the natural resources and forced us to immigrate. The Real criminals are the Europeans. They never, never pay for the crimes they committed against Native Americans. Why can Europeans travel free? That’s unacceptable. My ancestors used to use medicine in a sacred way. You turn it into a bad, negative thing”.

Karina Garcia from the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition said, “We’re protesting against Donald Trump because we know what he represents. D. T is the face of American style fascism . With his campaign, the racism it’s promoting is very dangerous and our communities are the ones who pay the price for his bigotry”.

Bill Johnson from Staten Island was very vocal last night in opposition to Trump chanting, “Boycott NBC” Bill then called Trump to come on out,, he called Trump “garbage’ and said, “You bring the country that I bled for down”.

As the demonstrators began the march around the block they chanted, “How do you spell sell out? NBC” and “How do you spell Racist? SNL”, when Karina Garcia was told she could not use the bull horn by NYPD.
