On April 14 after the long winter, people in NYC walked out of schools and work to join a national demonstration organized by the Stop Mass Incarceration Network against police brutality. Starting from Union Square all the way down to Brooklyn, protesters carried a big board of faces of the stolen lives and shut down streets and Brooklyn Bridge, despite constant distractions from the police. Arrests came after people took over the bridge.
