I spoke with one member of the Black Souljahz group, who told me it’s their job to patrol their residences, not the Police. He gave me a bit of history on the Police Dept and it’s original intention was to oversee slaves and engage in crowd control.

The March ended at the NYPD service ares #2 with the crowd participating in a Die-in while others spoke to the crowd about how the people need to stand together.
