PHOTOS: New York City Protestors Demand Justice For Eric Garner

This past Thursday night thousands of peaceful protesters gathered at Foley Square in solidarity with the victims of police violence. This was the second night of protests in response to a Staten Island Grand Jury’s decision to not indict Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner.

The protesters took over the streets of New York City exercising their right to free speech. At one point, the situation turned contentious when a NYPD officer admonished a Hispanic man for chanting in Spanish.

More demonstrations are scheduled not only in NYC, but in cities all over the country.
