Dann Russo: Dann Russo - Indie Music Review

Dan Russo’s self-titled album starts off well, but it gets repetitively bad really quickly. It’s not his singing, Russo is actually a competent singer, but the guitar riffs start to get annoying after half a minute into the first song, and each song after that contains a similar main riff; the only break I get, and also the highlight of the record, is from the intro of "Run Out of Reach."
An EP should be a musician’s chance to try to find his sound, and contain large amounts of experimental and energetic material. But Russo’s EP sounds nothing like that at all, it’s as if he has already found and defined his sound. It is anything but impressive, as the record managed to bore me in just four short tracks.
