Richards & Fitch: A Couple Of F Holes - Music Review Love, love, love! This folk music duo really knows how to get you in a good mood. At first the music sounds like typical, slow-motion; the lead singer’s vocals are not particularly extraordinary and the guitar work seems easy enough, but this is part of what makes Richards and Fitch so great – they have the ability to combine and some of their songs will make you stop and think of how …the singing is lively and passionate in its own kooky, folksy sort of way. Their lyrics aren’t so silly that you cannot take them seriously as a folk-singing group. “Who Stole My Gloves” and “Guitario” are good examples of some sillier songs a listener could expect from this group. Especially in “Guitario”, you can hear the surprising range of the singer which engages the listener even more into the eccentric song. There seems to be something about a musical duo (e.g. White Stripes, Flight of the Conchords, Ting Tings) that consistently produces some good quality music, and Richards and Fitch are definitely a part of that group in their own unique way. Simply put – their music is happiness! Even when it’s depressing, it is a good time!
