Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo: Revolution Of Compassion - Music Review Not the usual music one hears on a daily basis, at all! It sounds like the (religious) chanting that is similar the hymn-like songs off of Bjork’s “Medulla” album, often with the hint of rhythmic percussions in the background. “Taste of Comfort” is a good example of how some of her singing in English almost seems inappropriate at times, since the her musical influences seem too exotic, other-worldly – it has drum beats from the far east and over-stretched notes that echo out of the speakers. In “I Feel It Coming” there even is a bit of a foreign language which seeps into the last bit of the song. Her songs are sometimes haunting with overlapping vocals and striking chords on string instruments. Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo’s music is different in a good way. Even if someone only listens to one or two of her songs, it is completely out of the ordinary from the massive amounts of overproduced music fed to the masses on a daily basis from the radio, and it can be enjoyable if you accept it for what it is – a religious, electronica insight into her world.
