Alex Moulton: Exodus - Music Review Alex Moulton – It’s trance-like, and yet has the robotic and unceasing 80s dance beats that get you hyped up. There is a little bit of variation within each song, however, whose subtleties I think is a significant achievement. “Together” is a great example of how Alex Moulton can take you on a trippy, electro-dreamlike place, without making it into annoying psychedelic or cliché music. There is just the right amount of balance between piano and electronic music.

“The Sacrifice” (aptly named) is probably the least typical of Moulton’s music, since the tribe-like percussions are the meat of the song and the beat gives the listener that energetic and mobile state-of-mind that drums are so great at doing.

“Flaming Sword” is another song which sounds like futuristic kind of dream; Alex Moulton really just understands music (all inclusive with notes and instruments) and in the end that is sort of what Moulton’s music reminds me of – space age lounge music.
