The Alphabetical Order: I Am Magically Happening! - Music Review For some reason, The Alphabetical Order turns into a completely different band around track five on their album. Up until this track, I really couldn't hear much differences between any of the songs, let alone between the individual verse/chrous/verse formula.

"A Mockery of Taste" is the start of the album picking up, that welcoming track five that takes the Alphabetical Order's dreary rock sound and starts making it unique; in this case by adding some upstrokes in the verse and more energy in the chorus. So I guess the Order can make better songs if only they're mocking their original ones? However for the bridge, it goes back to bland again.

"Foundation" picks up more energy, more focus on individual instruments (rather than the drone as a whole) and much more confidence in the vocals. It's definitely a more confident endeavor and definitely more catchy and interesting to listen to -actually interesting depress-o rock, as opposed to plain old generic depress-o rock with the vocals giving off a Mike Patton kind of feel. This is quite obviously the best song on the album.

From "Living Shells" to "This too Shall Pass," the last two tracks on the album starts to take us back to the Order's bored sounding lack of confidence, although not entirely back to the level of the first four tracks. The Alphabetical Order is another band who was potential who just needs to work on developing it more. For now, just look for "Foundations" on limewire or something.
