Jam Eazey Entertainment & House-Of-Platinum Records is only a year old
and has already created a buzz throughout MD, DC, VA, and NYC.
Ja'Meaze Lyell also known as Bosslady The Business Woman has been on the grind
for the past 12 months. She launched Jam Eazey Entertainment in Nov. of
2004 and House-Of-Platinum Records in March of 2005. Jam Eazey Ent. is
an artist management, development, marketing, and promotions company.
House-Of-Platinum Records is an independent record label and recording
company located in Baltimore, Md. Ja'Meaze started her artist
management career by managing two rap artists/producers (Dy-Verse & Rich), but
she has been in the entertainment business for over 17 years.
At the tender age of eight Ja'Meaze attended the Arena players of
Baltimore and studied acting, drama, dance, music, and ballet. She attended
Arena Players summer program for 4 years and performed at Artscape and
Johns Hopkins Hospital with John Taylor the Kinderman. Ja'Meaze grew
up with the talented and well known DJ Nelly Nell formely known as DJ D
Smooth. DJ Nelly Nell taught Ja'Meaze how to DJ at the age of 11. In
1990 Ja'Meaze began spinning records in the bedroom of her parents
house where she mixed together her first mixtape. Although it never was
released, she gave all her friends a copy and they loved it. As time went
on Ja'meaze decided to take a break from the entertainment world and
pursue a career in Physical Therapy & Business Administration. Ja'Meaze
attended Baltimore City Community College for one year but had a hard
time focusing on her studies. She was missing the excitement and joy of
being in the spotlight, so she decided to leave college and try !
her hand in the entertainment world one more time.
In 2004 she stepped back into the spotlight and began playing an extra
on HBO The Wire. While acting on The Wire a long term friend
propositioned her into starting a management company with him. Ja'meaze acting
career was not taking off as fast as she would have liked it to, so she
decided to take him up on his offer. After two months of hard work and
a few ups and downs the Bosslady was born. Bosslady began networking
and traveling to major cities to market and promote her company. Bosslady
and her business partner decided to end their partnership but she
decided to continue with artist management, marketing and promotions. She
was discouraged in the beginning but realized her passion for music and
love for hip hop would help her reach a higher level of success.
In 2005 Bosslady began plugging herself into almost every event that
surfaced the radar and built relationships with some A-List Celebrities.
Because of the advice and guidance she received from Industry
Executives Kevin Peck, Charmel McMillan, Raydon, and Hozay Clowney she has been
able to expand her roster of artists. House-Of-Platinum Records is
currently the home of four talented artists with genres ranging from Hip
Hop, R&B, and Neo Soul. H-O-P Records roster includes names such as
BornKing, Diablo, K-Luv, DJ Mickey Nice, and DJ 5Starr The General.
Ja'Meaze Lyell (Bosslady) states she has plans of developing
House-Of-Platinum Records into a major label by 2008. H-O-P Records would be
housed in Baltimore and cater to all genres of music. Bosslady is on da
grind right now and will continue to work extra hard until her label and
artists have reached the level of success she has implemented in her
business plans. When asked what motivates you? Bosslady replies, music is
my motivation.
