GothStock Music Festival: Independent Musicians Take Charge of Their Own Career

New York, NY -- Local promoters are making a bold move putting together a two days major event in September 24-25,
2005 - GothStock Festival in Webster Theatre, CT to celebrate dark lifestyle with music, fun and entertainment to
celebrate the beauty and dark lifestyle that is sometimes misunderstood by the mainstream.
As an answer to the major records labels suffering with the sluggish sales and lack of interest to new music,
independent companies are pulling together in effort on create an event worthy and surpassing the major ones.
GothStock is featuring over 40 different artists from all over the country including acts as Genutorturers,
Cruxshadows, The Last Dance, Bella Morte, Carfax Abbey, Dead Emotion, Ego Likeness and more. GothStock is geared up
for people of different subcultures to come together raising awareness for a peaceful community that supports
children, medical illness and animal rights. A portion of the profits of this event will go to charities that support
that cause.
"This is our answer to the scene when no one cares about and no one wants to do anything to promote", says Charles
Cudd, CEO of New Goth America Inc, the main presenter of the event. He is not alone. Hot Picks USA has endorsed three
of the GothStock bands " Sister Kill Cycle, The Blessed Virgin Larry and Dead Emotion. Wild Cauldron Production,
Volume Magazine, Rapture Radio, Independent Music Conference are among growing sponsors and supporters of the
festival.
Other presenters of GothStock are Lethal Zone Productions, independent production company specializing in the right
size room for the right size event, which has worked with many of NYC finest venues such as Tramps, Lime Light, The
Bank, Wetlands, Down Time, Continental and the Spiral; Artillery Promotion, which specializes on promoting metal
events and managing local death and metal bands such as Scorched Earth and Dead Man Society; Evil Empire
Entertainment " NY and NJ’s own Media company that focuses on events, underground music and television; Akasha
Multimedia- New York City’s premiere promotions and publicity firm; and Axis Video - NJ independent music and film
production company, with such classics under it’s belt as "Dynasty of Darkness", Dead Emotion’s music video "Bytch"
and "Nothing To Die For" and feature short films.
