What they say about MILK :
Organart Magazine / England /
Nine track CD that pretty much sounds like an album ready to go once it
finds a label call home. MILK are an alternative psychedelic experience
from the USA, they sound like a lot of things that were flying in the
early 90\'s with their swirling groove and Electric Boys meets Sky Cries
Mary meets Verve flow that almost gives way to a Brian Jonestown
Massacre delicateness. Eastern vibes and bits that hint at a very mellowed
out Cult or Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and I see people over there in
their home town of Los Angeles are talking about \"trip-pop\" and
\"new-alternative psychedelia\".

Lisa Hart / Performer Magazine /
This self-titled CD is just a taste of what MILK can pour out. The
band\'s talent, combined with its recent vibe around the Los Angeles area,
may soon make MILK a household name, in another sense of the word. MILK
has dubbed its unique musical technique \"radio-friendly alternative
psychedelic\" - quite an accurate term for their style. Borrowing musical
ideas from well known guitar rockers like Oasis and Radiohead, the band
comes across as powerful and pleasing. Though the album\'s sound
differs from these two British radio rockers, the charisma and energy is spot
on.
The strong opener, \"Fly\", has the band playing a tight set. A steady
guitar rhythm and drumbeat match the distorted, muffled vocals. Lead
singer Eric Marx sings lyrics that are dripping with passion. This
dissonant passion, and the psychedelic bursts of sound that line each song,
give an overall eerie rock tone to the CD. \"Down The Machine\" is
another great example of the band\'s edgy sound. The guitar and keyboard
echo softly in the back ground and then explode together with Marx\'s wild
and raspy vocals. The Music itself is rather simple, but the various
layers comprising each song and the density behind them make a concrete
and promising CD. Amidst the scramble of LA bands, MILK has managed to
set itself apart from the rest.
