Mr. Shit: The Bad, The Good & The Ugly - Music Review Mr. Shit is clearly not your average comedian. From just one glance at his outlandish costume, you know you are in for something unique. Mr. Shit fancies himself a gangster comedian, begging the question, what exactly is gangster comedy? According to this shitstorm of a comic, gangster comedy defies all boundaries and is more hardcore than the best of them: your Chris Rock’s, Cedric the Entertainer’s, and Steve Harvey’s. The problem is, Mr. Shit is by no means in the same class as these seasoned greats, and he is likely to sometimes offend people as opposed to making them laugh.

Inspired by the late, great Richard Pryor, Mr. Shit covers a wide variety of topics on his album from the Barry Bonds steroids scandal to the Reverend Al Sharpton. One of the most cleverly crafted tracks on the album is "Britney Spears", where Mr. Shit goads the songstress with lines such as "Psssst….Pssst…..Britney, just kill yourself." While this type of humor does not focus on punch lines and intellectual prowess, it succeeds in being funny for its sheer bluntness and straight to the point approach.

The last track on the album, "Barack Obama", epitomizes the offensive and tasteless nature of Mr. Shit. The skit positions Mr. Shit as a reporter covering the fictional assassination of Barack Obama immediately following his being inducted as president. There are no jokes here, this is pure unadulterated mockery. Honestly, it is disturbing that someone would even consider this skit comedy. Even so, Mr. Shit stays true to his in your face approach to comedy and definitely has no problem standing out from the crowd. If you are open to the idea of comedy with absolutely no limits, give Mr. Shit a try. If not, this comic doesn’t really give a shit.
