Another Day Late: News Said It's Raining In New York - Music Review

Another Day Late makes one nostalgic for the bands they turned to in their late teens for the music, lyrics, and vocals that speak to how they feel directly. This is not a reference to anything in the "Emo" genre, as Kohl Hegmann voice never takes on a whiney pitch. His talents are very developed and are also essential for the quality sound that this quickly up and coming band will become most recognizable for. Another Day Late will become popular quickly with the audiences of bands like New found Glory, Finch, Sum41, and Thursday. However, they are in no way heavily influenced by only a handful of sounds. The crisp, clean, and unique sound of Another Day Late is not something they stumbled upon, but the obvious fruits of a lot of practice, experimentation, and life long passions for music. We have all heard too many bands half-heartedly, and some tragically wholeheartedly, try to do what Another Day Late did in their new album and fail miserably.
The talents of Scott Kircher, Justin Talbott on guitars, Chad Philips on bass, and Josh Hubberman on drums are also well defined and work well together to contribute perfect melodies to accompany the vocals. It is obvious when listening to their album "News Said It’s Raining In New York" that the members of Another Day Late have a strong bond with each other, allowing for them to collaborate professionally to produce music that uses each of their skills to make every song, every line, every note matter. They are a band that knows what they want to do in the music scene, and are quickly moving past the amateur stages that we wish other bands of their punk/rock genre would sail past as smoothly as another Day Late has. It is a rarity for a band still relatively new to produce an album where every song will be a frequent in daily i-pod play lists. Listen to a few of their tracks, buy "News Said It's Raining In New York," and be happy to find one of you’re new favorite bands.
