Antiqcool: Songs Of Hope And Despair - Music Review

Antiqcool is easygoing vocal harmonies seems "old school", sometimes even like the music of a cover band, yet it still nicely fits in with the overall feel of the music which is very relaxing.
The highlight of their music definitely comes from their vocals – might I even say reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel with a modern twist? Then there are some songs which simply belong in the groovy and mellow 1970s like "Just Another Groove on a Forty Five" and "Could This Be You and I". "Pearl", again with inviting lyrics (another strongpoint of the band) is a little different in that is sounds more modern and "west coast" than the other songs which could easily have a music video shot with young, free spirits enjoying the summer and fun of an afternoon on the sunny shores of California.
I would describe Antiqcool's general music as a jazzy kind of rock, especially songs like "I'm Getting Love". They would make for a great live experience with catchy choruses crafted by smooth and attractive singing at a laid back evening concert in the city.
