Yvette Rovira: The Art of Attraction - Music Review

By Ralph White, HOT INDIE NEWS .com

Date Published: April 9, 2008

Yvette Rovira: The Art of Attraction - Music Review Astrological signs and how they influence love and day-to-day relationships have been a fascination since time began. Astrology is based on the interconnectedness of human beings and the universe and therefore the energy of the universe can influence whom, why, and how we love.

"The Art of Attraction" is dedicated to interconnectedness and the understanding of which stems from Ms. Rovira's own experiences and research. Since every individual's life experiences are unique each song is dedicated both to an astrological sign and to experiences with the people closest to them. This makes her debut album rather unique and with a lot to say.

Yvette seems to favor a pop/dance texture in most of her music and"Be With Me" (for all you Gemini out there) captures this flavor completely. The radio single "All About You" (dedicated to the majestic lordly Leos of the Zodiac) has the silky smoothness of a Beyonce hit song. "High Life" (for the straight shooting Sagittarius) is probably the most urban influenced of the album's 13 tracks and features rapper MC Atlas.

So whatever your sign it's safe to say you'll be attracted to this new artist's hot, hot sound. Dance to it, sing to it and get your groove on with it. Yvette Rovira is ready to rock heaven and earth from the furthermost star to the bottom of the deep blue sea.
