Jon McLaughlin: Jon McLaughlin - Music Review Jon McLaughlin is one of the most talented singer/songwriters in recent years. Sure, some of his hits have been featured in major motion pictures like Enchanted, Bridge to Terabithia and Georgia Rule, but don’t get it wrong—McLaughlin is more than just a soundtrack star. His Ben Folds-inspired sound is gentle, inspiring and truly powerful. His voice resonates perfectly along with the press of each piano key, proving both his vocals and playing flawless.

The tracks are catchy and brilliantly executed, accomplishing the near-impossibility of appealing to both commercial audiences and the indie crowd. These are the songs that should be popular in the wake of lackluster talent screeching over the airwaves nowadays. "Some Tight Fix" starts the album off strong with its upbeat jazz feel, making it a must-hear. Other favorites, "Already in" and "Questions," draw you in with lyrical maturity and top-ballad potential. The entire album is ipod-worthy. This undervalued virtuoso will be around for a long time—and rightfully so.
