Jennifer Getz: Makin' History - Music Review

I wanted to like this - I really did. I liked the music. The vocals in the first track left much to be desired. I haven't heard so much whining since my niece begged for Hannah Montana crap at the Wal-Mart. Most of the lyrics were not able to be deciphered. And I like to know what I'm listening to - which is why I never got into black label metal.
Me In Your Bag - the first tack was a pop rock sort of ditty but the second, "Universe"? Well - oi vey! Bad country melody with what I've learned is not whiny lyrics but a whiny voice. Again - decent music. Vocals.. groan.
I searched the entire album for something that wasn't a bad female version of Bob Dylan - it didn't come. It came close on a couple later tracks but then the whining hit again. It was just endless. The music itself was good. Very well produced and the lyrics were strong and catchy - but the vocal tone was just insipid and annoying. A ranged whining/
