Rid Of Waste: Life - Music Review

I have to say that "Elements," the second and the best track, pleasantly surprised me. It is a consistent album, and even though many of these songs sound alike, they each possess a peculiarly quirky element to them that's easy to pick out but hard to ignore.
In "Elements," the singer graced us with some understandable lyrics, which I appreciate. I had wished the rest of the album would also contain such moments, only to be disappointed. I want to know why is it that heavy metal have to be signified by distorted screaming vocals instead of just singing them, the predecessors (Led Zeppelin and Motorhead, for example), needed no distorted screaming to get the heaviness out. Rid of Wasted is another band infected with the screaming trend.
The band has strong riffs and fine instrumental segments, which are better than the vocal sections, and I had hoped they were longer. This is would be a good band to put out an entirely instrumental album.
