Listening to this album is an exhilarating experience. The fact that none of the tracks are similar except to be consistently energetic was unexpected, but pleasant. The album is entirely instrumental, and thus, would avoid my usual criticism of such-and-such so-called musicians writing bad lyrics.
All the tunes are melodic, and there is not a weak track in the album. There are even times when Bryant experimented with a little discordance that ended up sounding like an energetic band jamming together at the top of their form.
I picked up many classical influences, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Strauss, etc, but there are more modern works at work too, as one of the tracks has a drum line similar to that of the famous to Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks." To those of us that listen to much music (that includes classical and classic rock 'n' roll), this album will bring us much recognition from well-known sources, yet at the same time, Bryant created an unmistakably unique identity for his work.
