Christine: Worth Of My Soul - Music Review

Christine: Worth Of My Soul - Music Review With beats that mix between smooth and rockin', Christine Gordon delivers a sound that is intoxicating and refreshing. Her sexy, souful voice, accompanied by musical tones of rock and roll, jazz, and blues, this powerful singer brings it on full force in her self-titled album. We can hear hints of other extraordinary talented singers influencing Christine's songs like Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin, but the sound is completely her own.

Her first song, 'A Little Appreciation' had me hooked with it's sultry notes full of soul while 'Love Me Still', 'When My Baby Comes Home', and 'Tell Me Tonight' burst with jumping arrays of tones and colors that just tip their toes into promising pools of lovely sadness.

Her songs, 'Whenever I Close My Eyes', 'Don't Let Me Sleep', and 'Think About You', bring me back to the sweet love songs of the '80s. Their simple lyrics blend seamlessly with rhythms that beckon you closer and tempt you to get lost for a few moments.

Christine's 'Worth of My Soul', 'Sexy Sexy', and 'Morning, Noon and Night', with their poppy, catchy tunes could be issued as singles and I would bet would get some serious air time on any of the popular pop / rock channels.

'Take Me Down' and 'Is It For Real' have clear jazz and blues takes, with sensual beats that take us on a ride of gently rocking waves that eases us in and doesn't let us go

I do wish Christine could have had songs that had more variety that diverged from romantic love songs. She has a voice that can inspire many emotions and her 'Just One World' song and her remake of 'We Are Family' reflects that she has more to say.

This is a woman who loves music and it clearly shows in the way her emotions envelop every song in pure joy and grace. This is a singer gifted with promise and hungry ambition to keep striving. She is the lucky few doing what she loves and excelling at it in every way.
