The Nor Easter that Wasn’t

It’s not exactly the snow tsunami that was being predicted. The nor’easter was expected to dump the city with up to 2 feet of snow, is now being reported, probably going to leave a still decent but much less crippling  amount of around 8 inches.

The original 24 blizzard warning for NYC and LI was changed at 8 am this morning to a winter weather advisory in effect until 8pm tonight, according to National weather service.

The expected accumulation is expected to be anywhere from 4 to 8 inches as the snow switches to sleet and then rain by afternoon, the weather service said.
