New York City Protesters Denounce GOP Frontrunner Donald Trump

A few hundred protesters assembled today at Trump International Hotel in Columbus Circle to condemn the GOP frontrunner’s contentious and divisive rhetoric and actions. The organizers, Cosmopolitan Antifascists were joined by numerous other political groups including immigrant rights groups.

The protesters marched across south Central Park to Trump Tower on 5th Avenue, his primary residence,  and then back to Columbus Circle.  For the most part the protest was peaceful. However,  according to the organizers, three people were arrested by NYPD, but then later released.  A couple of protesters also were pepper sprayed.

Meanwhile, a few thousand miles further South, protesters shut down roadways leading to a Trump rally in Phoenix, Arizona.
