True journalism has been commoditized and criminalized in recent years. People whose job it is to give the unbiased investigative reporting are fewer as newsrooms cut staff and turn to for-profit entertainment news. In the modern world, independent investigators are the critical link to unadulterated truth for the people. In this atmosphere, I have become convinced that crowdfunding can serve to create the necessary independent media that is needed to balance this poisonous equation. It is up to We the People to take back our country.

I am looking for $10,000 to support my own investigative journalism. By contributing to my campaign you will help me purchase a better camera, tripod, hard drive space, and an external microphone. This will support my work in filming, photographing, investigating, blogging and editing my work on local and global protest, public hearings, events, interviews, press conferences, court proceedings and other actions. Also the funds will help in lining up great guests for my radio show or meeting them in person if necessary such as in prison interviews, etc. For example, would make it more possible for me to interview important people like CIA analyst turned whistleblower John Kiriakou when he was under house arrest after serving his time in prison for exposing the CIA torture program.

I’ve been doing my own two hour radio show called ‘Organic News’ since April of 2013 on Awake Radio, http://awakeradio.us and have had great guests such as William Binney the NSA coder turned whistle blower, Thomas Drake from the NSA, John Kiriakou who exposed CIA Torture, NYPD whistleblower Frank Serpico, author John Perkins and Miko Peled who wrote “The General’s Son”.

Who I am:

I worked and Studied at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies from 2001-04 where I met John Perkins who wrote Confessions of an Economic Hitman, also, Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and John Grey who wrote “Men are from mars, Women are from Venus”. I met up with and began working with Danny Schechter the news Dissector after watching his documentary PLUNDER, The Crime of Our Time in 2010, before the start of occupy. Once OWS began, Danny and I covered the topics they brought up, participated in many protests, I did street reporting for him, co-hosted with him on his weekly radio show, News Dissector on PRN.com for three years and contributed articles to his blog.

I’ve been doing this work on my own for five years now. I’ve nearly exhausted all my savings. I do not want to do anything else. I cannot do anything else. Out in the streets filming the protests and arrests, editing, which is very time consuming and can be very tedious work and I’ve felt the calling all my life and was just never supported. I’ve been advocating for truth and justice all my life. It began early when I learned that many people in power have impunity and do not represent the truth or justice and actually abuse power rather than enforce real justice. I was passionate and studied extensively about the abusive family system as the origin of many of the injustices we experience today.
