Hunter Hunted: Live At Maxwell’s – Concert Review

Last Wednesday, in the midst of their opening slot on the Fitz & the Tantrums tour, Hunter Hunted played a headlining show at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. Taking a page from bands like the Givers and Of Monsters and Men, Hunter Hunted combines complex harmonies with infectious pop songs that make for one great dance party. The band, led by Michael Garner and Dan Chang previously known for the band Lady Danville, bridges folk and indie pop in perfect fashion.

Their set, dynamic and engaging, included not only all five songs off their current EP, but also an entrancing version of the Pixies “Where is My Mind”, as well as some new catchy tunes that brought everyone to their feet. This is just the beginning for this incredibly talented band who makes anyone touched by their music excited to see what they do next. To say Hunter Hunted is one to watch out for is understatement.

Set list below and don’t forget to listen to their self titled EP out now.
