Eljuri’s new album “Fuerte” was released today in the United States and Mexico with the hopes of empowering people to become activists.
This socially conscious release is Eljuri’s reflection of what’s going on in the world today and should act as a reminder for people to remain strong (Fuerte) and rise up against injustices to help make the world a better place.
“Fuerte” was produced by Gustavo Borner, and respectfully showcases Eljuri’s organic fusion of genres ranging from latin rock to reggae. It’s true rebel music at it’s best!
I had the good fortune to conduct this video interview today with Cecilia Villar Eljur today while she had some free time between promotional appearances and preparing for her upcoming performance at The Bowery Electric in New York City tomorrow night.
