Festival phenomenon plants roots in Austin with renowned yoga programming, music acts, inspirational speakers, film screenings and more
Wanderlust Festival, the one-of-a-kind yoga and music festival set within the nation’s most inspiring natural scenery, announced today it will open a permanent residence in Austin, Texas with the unveiling of Wanderlust LIVE. Created in partnership with Austin locals Ashley Spence Clauer and Joanna Kutchey and inspired by the popular Wanderlust Festivals, Wanderlust LIVE will bring a unique flavor to the Austin scene, hosting a variety of yoga classes, workshops led by national teachers, fascinating talks and lectures, and, at night, a range of diverse musical performances.
Located in a revamped historic warehouse in the heart of the entertainment district of downtown Austin, Wanderlust LIVE’s impeccably designed space is not your average yoga studio. Featuring two studios—one for regular classes and one with a built in stage and top of the line sound and lights—the 6,000 square foot Wanderlust LIVE will offer Austinites a new place to rock out, consciously.
“Seeing the mindful values that we’ve developed at Wanderlust Festival materialize in a year-round venue is pretty amazing,” said Wanderlust co-founder Jeff Krasno. “For the first time, the best features of the festival—yoga, music, powerful speakers, organic foods and more—will be at the fingertips of Austin locals anytime, any day.”
Truly bringing the festival experience home, Wanderlust LIVE will feature organic eats by Austin’s Blenders and Bowls—serving healthy and delicious organic acai bowls, natural fruit smoothies, coffee, tea and more. The studio’s outdoor patio seating will provide ample space to eat, relax after class or sip a beverage at Wanderlust happy hour. At all live music and other special nighttime events, attendees also may enjoy organic beer and hand picked biodynamic wines. And inside, the Wanderlust LIVE Boutique will offer specialty yoga gear and apparel. With all these amenities, Wanderlust LIVE is a place to find both tranquility and adventure inside the studio walls.
“I’ve been a fan of Wanderlust Festival since the very first event in Lake Tahoe four years ago,” said studio co-owner Ashley Spence Clauer. “They reimagined what a yoga conference could be, and in turn inspired me to reimagine what a yoga studio could be. Wanderlust LIVE is a place to tune in, to connect and at the end of the day to let loose. It’s a venue that’s about yoga first, and music always. I couldn’t be more thrilled to open its doors in Austin for the first time.”
Wanderlust LIVE will host an open house for Austin locals on Friday, April 13, and a Grand Opening party on April 14. Wanderlust LIVE will be open to the public for classes and private events starting April 16.
