New “wacko-country-romp-anti-tea party” song from Wooldridge Brothers

The Wooldridge Brothers just released this new “wacko-country-romp-anti-tea party” song from their album Days Went Around. It’s a hootananny romp that pokes fun at the Palin worldview and an out take from the album.

Being from IN they know a lot of “red neck” types. Actually, they think they are the only non-carrying NRA members of their family. It’s real scary down there in Cornfield land sometimes. Political satire naturally comes out in their songs. American Luck picks at the whole entitlement mentality that Americans have with more, more, more, bigger is better and pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and if you aren’t on top it’s your own fault. Etc.

About The Wooldridge Brothers:

After a DIY cassette grabbed the attention of REM producer Scott Litt, Scott and Brian found some music biz support. They went on to put out Skeleton Keys and Star of Desire on Don’t Records (Willy Porter, Citizen King). These albums garnered them a spot at SXSW and that landed them a deal with Windswept Pacific (now Bug Music). Star of Desire did very well in the music publishing world, and set them up for their next album. Uncovering the Sun was released in 1998 on Don’t Records in the States, and Blue Rose Records in Europe. Critics liked Uncovering the Sun, and again it did well in film and TV (Theme song for ETV! Nearly Famous), but it never got to the general publics ears. After hitting the road for a couple more years, in 2008 the brothers wrote a new batch of tunes and headed into the studio. The result is the fresh and classic Days Went Around.
