Rachelle Lefevre Talks About Getting Booted from Twilight

Rachelle was booted from the Twilightmovies after signing on for a short stint on an upcoming movie, Barney’s Vision. She didn’t realize this would cause a conflict in the filming of Eclipse, but Summit Entertainment was less than impressed and kicked her out of her role of Victoria.

But Rachelle is still looking forward to seeing her performance on the big screen in New Moon, “I’m very, very excited… They wrote a lot of fun stuff for me from Twilight to New Moon. In the book, Victoria is not that present and they really did their best.

Melissa Rosenberg, our screenwriter, told me that she loved writing Victoria and there was great room for that. So she wrote a lot of stuff for me. I really hope it makes it into the film. You never know, because I haven’t seen it.”

We hope they keep Rachelle in the film too; she deserves it! But it seems like Rachelle is a bit worried they may have cut parts of her role out. She says, “In light of recent events, I just really hope that my role will still be as predominant as I’d like to be in New Moon.

As an actor, you work really hard and give it your all.”

Rachelle emphasizes the fact that she had no idea signing on for Barney’s Vision would affect her role in Twilight. “When I accepted my role in Barney’s Version… under no circumstances did I think that would cost me Eclipse. I didn’t know I was making a choice… Really I’m just grateful for being part of an amazing franchise.”

She also talks about all the fan support she’s received since the news broke. We believe it and think Rachelle will be able to score some great new roles in the future!
